Dr. Wayne Wolf of Princeton University will be giving a seminar titled "Smart Cameras" this Monday, 28th January as part of ECE's Computer Engineering Seminars.

"Advances in VLSI technology allow us to put large video analysis systems on a single chip. As a result, we can design cameras that analyze scenes and extract useful information in real time. We will discuss the smart camera system being built by Burak Ozer, Tiehan Lv and myself. We will start with a discussion of the requirements on such a system. We will next survey the algorithms used. We will then analyze the computational requirements of these algorithms and discuss the architecture of single-chip smart cameras."
