The ECE Department would like to extend their congratulations to John Forbes, a graduate student in Computer Engineering at NC State who has been selected to receive the 2007-2008 Lincoln Labs Fellowship, as well as to his advisor Prof. Eric Rotenberg.
MIT’s Lincoln Labs asked for candidates with at least one year remaining in their MS programs, one of which would be chosen for a one-year, non-renewable $15,000 fellowship. Additionally, the selected candidate would be offered the chance to work a summer internship at Lincoln Labs. Though very impressed with all the highly qualified candidates submitted for the fellowship, Lincoln Labs ultimately chose graduate student John Forbes.
Created in 1951 as a federally-funded research center of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lincoln Laboratory’s fundamental mission is to apply science and advanced technology to critical problems of national security.
NCSU’s last Lincoln Labs Fellow was Kevin Bogacki.
