The Lone Wolf, Insight Racing‘s entry to the DARPA Urban Challenge, placed among the final 19 vehicles left on Thursday.  The team fielded the smallest vehicle in the competition, in addition to being the only sports car.  Unfortunately, Insight Racing was not among the final 11 competitors chosen to proceed to the finals held on Saturday.

The team is proud of the accomplishments they have made and truly appreciate all the support their sponsors and the community has shown them.

According to the team, “The technology advances we made in preparing for the race are a huge leap forward in automotive control and sensor technology and we hope to deploy them to North Carolina’s benefit.”

“Thank you to all our sponsors and friends for your support. We couldn’t have come as far without you.  It has been an honor to represent you in this historic event.”
