Vineet Kulkarni, a Ph.D. Student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, has been selected as one of the 14 best submissions out of 1204 papers.  His paper, titled "Social Distance Aware Resource Allocation in Wireless Networks", was presented during the IEEE Global Communications 2009 Conference (IEEE GLOBECOM) held in Honolulu, HI in December.  Vineet is advised by Michael Devetsikiotis, a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
