NSIN ECE Senior Design I and II Fall 2020 – Spring 2021

Sponsored by Eccalon, LLC

Rachana Gupta

Project runs from 08/10/2020 to 05/31/2021
$7,500

With all the excellent modern forms of communication available today, the ability to securely communicate effectively without being hindered by the potential threat from adversaries is nearly impossible. All current options involve a third party that can potentially access sensitive information.
For this project, an app will be designed for encrypted, secure communication between members of a group, specifically the United States Air Force’s 94th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. This application will allow quick, educated decisions to be sent to the entire group, without compromising mission security. Current communication applications require the use of a third-party for server hosting, compromising any sensitive information that may be sent. Current military-approved solutions to this problem cannot be done in real time. This complicates group communication with service members in the squadron, and causes logistical issues when real time communication is needed.
