DOE-funded PowerAmerica Institute at NCSU divvies out fresh $20M for innovation

More than four years after then-President Barack Obama announced what would become the PowerAmerica Institute at North Carolina State University, the initiative is doling out a new $20 million tranche to fund innovation. Late Tuesday, the Department of Energy-funded center announced it had awarded funds to six new member projects aimed at enhancing next-generation semiconductors in the U.S. PowerAmerica also announced it had awarded funding for 20 projects, to be led by existing members, for a total of $20 million this cycle.
