The Handheld, Noninvasive Cocoa Bean Moisture Meter won top overall at ECE Design Day and the team was honored to represent the University as one of the few students teams from around the world exhibiting at the international Capstone Design Conference at RIT this summer.
As the end of the semester approaches, students in NC State’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering capstone engineering course are feeling the heat. Students spend two semesters working on projects that aim for them to create, design and develop a real world solution to a proven problem. The students work in teams, sponsored by industry partners, starting with a problem statement, analyzing product requirements, evaluating solutions and defining a solution.
North Carolina State University today announced that Ashish Amin of Cary, NC and Vedashrey Makthal, of Morrisville, NC are recipients of the 2017 Sensus Reach℠ Scholarship. Amin, a senior, and Makthal, a junior, in the NC State College of Engineering will each receive a one-year stipend to cover tuition and fees, made possible by a donation from Raleigh, N.C.-based technology company, Sensus.
