HKN Wins National Outstanding Chapter Award

Jan 1, 2006

The Beta Eta Chapter of Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) at NC State University will recieve an Outstanding Chapter Award (OCA) for 2004-05. The OCA is a mark of significant distinction for a college chapter as chapters are judged using metrics geared to the chapter size.  This means that Beta Eta competed against both small and large chapters with exemplary programs to win.

Other recipients of the OCA for 2004-05 include:

Alpha Chapter: University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign

Beta Chapter: Purdue University

Mu Chapter: University of California-Berkeley

Beta Epsilon: University of Michigan

Beta Mu: Georgia Institute of Technology

Gamma Theta: University of Missouri-Rolla

Iota Gamma: University of California-Los Angeles

Kappa Delta: Florida International University

The award plaque for Beta Eta Chapter will be formally presented to Dr. Robert Trew at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA) Annual Meeting banquet later this year at the Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu, Hawaii.
