Engaging Beyond the Classroom

We actively engage beyond the classroom, helping students explore opportunities and do the incredible, as well as helping our alumni and industrial partners be connected and contributing to our research and academics.

Connections Partners Program

The ECE Connections corporate program is designed to develop and sustain strong collaborations between industry and the Department, offering meaningful engagement and recruiting events and activities. By keeping industry engaged in the department and with our students, we ensure that our students graduate with the skills required to hit the ground running in their careers.

Strategic Advisory Board

The Strategic Advisory Board plays a major role in setting directions for ECE research and education as well as providing a source of new partnerships with industry.

We recruit members from corporations and academia that are well connected with the industry and can provide the insights necessary to keep the ECE department current and vital.

Alumni

We are committed to enhancing your relationship with our Department, our current students and your fellow alumni.

Find ways to stay in contact with old classmates, keep up with the goings-on of the ECE Department, find out how to network with others in your profession, and learn how to lend your support towards the ECE faculty and staff.

Hall of Fame

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NC State University is proud to host an ECE Alumni Hall of Fame. The purpose of this extraordinary honor is to celebrate the accomplishments of our outstanding graduates who have used their education to excel in a profession, career, or service.

Additionally, this recognition will serve as an inspiration for current students. Our alumni are at the core of the Department, representing the agents and ambassadors that have made groundbreaking contributions in the study of electrical and computer engineering and beyond.

Outstanding Early Career Award

The Outstanding Early Career Award is presented to one alum each year who has attained significant achievement early in their career and who shows promise of further contributions to the field.

Student Organizations

In the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, a wide variety of opportunities exist for students to be involved outside the classroom. Not only can involvement serve as a way to make new friends, but it can also provide valuable learning experiences, ways to serve your community and ways to potentially advance your career once your time at NC State comes to a close.
