Floyd Named Associate Editor for IEEE JSSC

Apr 25, 2011

Dr. Brian Floyd, ECE Department, NC State University Dr. Brian Floyd, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been selected to serve as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC).

The IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC) publishes papers each month in the broad area of solid-state circuits with particular emphasis on transistor-level design of integrated circuits. It also provides coverage of topics such as circuit modeling, technology, systems design, layout, and testing that relate directly to IC design.  The JSSC is the most downloaded periodical IEEE hosts.

JSSC Associate Editors are assigned manuscripts within their area of expertise which have been submitted to the journal for possible publication.  The Associate Editor sends these manuscripts out to multiple experts for review and based in part on their feedback, makes a decision on whether the paper will be published.   Finally, the Associate Editor oversees the revision process conducted by the authors of accepted papers.

“The IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits is the premier journal in the field of integrated circuits.  Being selected as an Associate Editor is a tremendous honor,” said Dr. Floyd when asked for comment.solid state
