NC State and ECE alumna Christina Hammock Koch is one of eight recent graduates of NASA‘s 21stastronaut class.
She will visit Raleigh and her alma mater this weekend for several events to talk about her path from NC State’s University Scholars Program to earning degrees in physics and electrical engineering to joining the space program.
She is a featured guest at Raleigh’s Astronomy Days at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences this weekend, giving talks at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
On Monday, she is the featured speaker at the University Scholars Program Forum at 3 p.m. at Stewart Theatre in the Talley Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.
Christina was inducted into the 2015 ECE Hall of Fame.
