Griff Bilbro Faculty Senior Scholar

This award, named in memory of impactful professor Griff Bilbro, is given annually to a full-time student with a projected graduation date in the following academic year who exemplifies academic excellence, intellectual breadth, and depth of character.

Dr. Griff Bilbro had a long record of outstanding teaching in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering from 1985 to 2016. He became a member of the NC State Academy of Outstanding Teachers in 2001, and was named the IEEE Undergraduate Teacher of the Year in 2006.
