FLUX HYBRIDS Innovative and Cost Effective Vehicle Hybrid-Electric Conversion Technology (Micah Ulricht)
Flux Hybrids is providing an affordable solution for businesses to transition away from fossil fuels. Through their offering, the prohibitive cost of purchasing all-electric or hybrid-electric vehicles can be avoided. This allows companies to more rapidly move towards a carbon free future, while still addressing the need for specialized vehicles. NC State researchers have been studying the feasibility of this alternative, with the aim of providing a low-cost option to reduce emissions from internal combustion engine vehicles. With the help of Flux Hybrids, businesses have a chance to more easily move towards a cleaner future.

Internal combustion engine vehicles are ubiquitous in our society. Almost every business relies on vehicles in some shape or form to accomplish their business goals. Many of these companies, such as electric utilities, require specialized vehicles. Often the specialization of these vehicles serves as a roadblock to their electrification. As our world moves to a carbon free future, the emissions from these vehicles will be more heavily regulated. However, the cost of purchasing a brand new all-electric or hybrid-electric vehicle remains prohibitive, even when compared with rising regulatory costs. At Flux Hybrids, we offer a lower cost option to transition away from fossil fuels which will allow businesses to more rapidly transition to a cleaner future.
