Wearable Motion Sensors for UNC Chapel Hill Eshelman School of Pharmacy Project

A Technical Development Trainee is needed for a 6-month period at NC State's Center for Advanced Self-Powered Systems of Integrated Sensors and Technologies (ASSIST). The individual will be an expert in sensor hardware development and advanced pattern recognition and signal analysis for wearable health monitoring. The trainee will be supervised by two experienced content experts, Drs. Michael Daniele and Edgar Lobaton, and will be responsible for providing guidance and development expertise for sensor selection, signal acquisition and pattern recognition and prediction algorithms. They will be working closely with Co-Lead Investigators Drs. Sathyan and Kiefer.

BME Technical Development Trainee (TBN) (6 calendar person months). This individual will be an expert in sensor hardware development and advanced pattern recognition and signal analysis for wearable health monitoring. She or he will be directly and collaboratively mentored and supervised by two experienced content experts from the NC State Center for Advanced Self-Powered Systems of Integrated Sensors and Technologies (ASSIST) – namely, Drs. Michael Daniele and Edgar Lobaton. Under their mentorship and in working closely with the Co-Lead Investigators, the trainee will be responsible for providing guidance and hands-on development expertise for sensor selection, signal acquisition and monitoring via tablet, phone, or PC, and pattern recognition and prediction algorithms in collaboration with Drs. Sathyan and Kiefer.
