Biography

Erdem Sennik received his B.S. degree in physics department from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2006, his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics department from the Gebze Technical University, Kocaeli, Turkey in 2009 and 2015, respectively. He had studied in many scientific projects about fabricating metal and metal oxide nanostructures using different techniques for investigating their gas sensing features during 2007−2016. He has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in Electrical & Computer Engineering Department of NC State University since 2018. He is currently interested in chemical and bio sensing features of functionalized capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer array (CMUT) to detect several volatile gases which is caused to environmental pollution and plant disease.

He has a passionate scientist who likes to think, observe, learn and do. He is totally a team player who can fill in any gap by doing brain-storm, build a bridge between thought and realization. He is also an enthusiastic mentor with real experience who knows how to approach, manage and guide someone who needs to move forward.
