N. Moorthy Muthukrishnan
Biography
N. Moorthy Muthukrishnan has over 15 years of industrial experience in USA and over 15 years of teaching, administration and research experience in engineering colleges/universities. Prior to joining NC State/UNC-Asheville he worked as Process/Product engineer in Integrated circuit manufacturing at LSI Logic Corporation in Silicon Valley, California. He worked as a Professor and Head of the Department at several colleges and universities in India. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
He served as coordinator for BTBP-GNITS Center for Artificial Intelligence. He coordinated the design and installation of 100 KWp solar PV power plant at GNITS. He was also heading the Entrepreneurial Development cell and GNITS-Steinbeis Center for Renewable Energy. He has over 40 publications in international conferences and journals. He served as a member of Organizing and Technical committees for several national and international conferences and workshops. He is a member of Asheville Buncombe County Critical Services Microgrid Working group which is a group of volunteers that strives to achieve energy resilience for critical services through the use of renewable energy sources and storage connected to microgrids. He also volunteers his time with Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, Raleigh.
