The ECE Department is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual eXtreme Computer Design Competition (XCDC 2013).

The goal of the competition is to optimize the page load speed of a web browser application on a Qualcomm SnapdragonTM S3 APQ8060-based Dragonboard mobile phone platform running Linux and Android. Contestants can form a team of up to three students and register for the competition. They will be lent the platform, and given a limited amount of time to optimize it. They will then present their work in front of a panel of judges, which will select one or more winning teams. Three top teams will receive prizes.

Sign-up begins today (Feb 27), so visit the web site to see how to participate.  All NCSU students are eligible.  Slots are limited, so don’t take too long to assemble your team!  Judging day is April 5.
