“I am honored to be elected to the Board by fellow computer engineers and computer scientists. Service on the Board is a chance to contribute to the profession, and a chance to work with very creative and dedicated people,” noted Dr. Byrd.
Candidates on for the Board of Governors are selected by the Society’s Nominations Committee or by petition by its members. “Strong leadership is critical to the vitality of the IEEE Computer Society,” said Nominations Chair David Alan Grier.
