Frankie Myers

Director of Engineering, Lucira Health

Dr. Frankie Myers is a medical device engineer passionate about improving access to healthcare and empowering individuals to make better health decisions. As a founding engineer at Lucira Health, Inc., he led a team to develop and launch the world's first at-home molecular COVID-19 test.

Prior to that, he was a staff research engineer and lecturer at UC Berkeley, focusing on medical instrumentation for global health.

He holds an Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from NC State University and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley

Jon Vincent Medenilla

Class of 2021

Mr. Vincent Medenilla is graduating this May with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering degree. His family moved to the United States from the Philippines 5 years ago. He then transferred to NC State from Wake Tech in 2018, obtaining the Goodnight Scholarship. While at NC State, he has been a member of the ECE Ambassadors and has served as the Public Relations officer. He has also been involved with Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity, served as a student senator in the Student Government, and served as a mentor in the Goodnight Scholars Program. Vincent also participated in two Alternative Service Break trips: Washington D.C. (Homelessness and Food Insecurity) and Costa Rica (Sustainability). His work experience includes interning with RMF Engineering and Dewberry Engineers, as well as participating in the REU program.

After graduation, Vincent will work as a Software Development Intern at NetApp, before starting his Master of Engineering in ECE degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he plans on specializing in Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence.
