ABET

The graduates of the (Electrical Engineering (EE)/Computer Engineering (CPE)) program are expected to attain the following within a few years after graduation:

  1. Productive and successful practice of their (electrical/computer) engineering background in a diverse range of careers, leading to innovative solutions that address local, national, and global challenges;
  2. Engaging in formal and informal lifelong learning to acquire and apply new knowledge and skills and adapt to changing economic and technological environments; and
  3. Promoting collaboration, teamwork, and leadership through the effective communication of technical knowledge to diverse audiences.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has as its mission the accumulation, generation and dissemination of knowledge in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Central to the mission is a high-quality research and educational program that benefits our students, the State of North Carolina, the nation and the world.

In so doing, it is our expectation that our faculty and students will convert ideas to reality, provide solutions to societal needs and enhance the economic development and quality of life of the citizens of North Carolina, our nation and humankind.
