Ozturk attends NIMS Agreement Signing

Dr. Mehmet Ozturk (second from right) attending the NIMS Agreement signingA comprehensive agreement between NC State University and the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) that provisions for research collaboration and exchange of materials related to high-efficient energy and resource use was signed into being on July 18th, 2008.

The signing ceremony was held in a joint workshop between the two institutions during NIMS Week.  Prof. John Gilligan represented NC State during the signing.  Several other NC State professors – including Dr. Mehmet Ozturk who attended the workshop as the director of the NCSU Nanofabrication Facility – were present at the ceremony.

NIMS is Japan’s sole Independent Administrative Institution specializing in materials science. NIMS is charged with basic research and development of materials science, and to advance the level of expertise in the field.  Research at NIMS is divided into high-priority developmental research and exploratory research.
