578 Graduates Recognized at the Spring 2024 Commencement Ceremony

The Spring 2024 Commencement Ceremony was held in Reynolds Coliseum on May 2, 2024, where 578 graduating students were honored for their achievements.


On Thursday, May 2, 2024, 219 Bachelor’s (B.S.), 332 Master’s (M.S.), and 27 Doctoral (Ph.D.) recipients walked across the stage to celebrate their graduation at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department’s Spring 2024 Commencement Ceremony. Live from the William Neal Reynolds Coliseum at NC State, more than 4,000 friends, family, and guests cheered on their graduates. An additional 8,000 friends and family tuned into the livestream to watch the moment from afar.

Ranbir Singh, the Executive Vice President of Navitas Semiconductor spoke as the guest speaker sharing his wealth of experience and advice to the graduating students. Singh has developed critical understanding and published on a wide range of SiC power devices including PiN, MPS rectifiers, Trench and planar MOSFETs, IGBTs, Thyristors and field controlled thyristors.

Mohamed Mohamed-Ali, a graduating senior in Computer Engineering was honored as the student speaker adding his voice to the memorable event. Mohamed-Ali, a first-generation Egyptian college student has demonstrated a passion for learning and a commitment to excellence.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is so proud to celebrate our graduates and recognize the outstanding achievements all of our students have accomplished. Congratulations, Class of 2024!
