Dr. Bhattacharya’s former Ph.D. student Dr. Samir Hazra’s paper entitled, “Gate Driver Design Considerations for Silicon Carbide MOSFETs Including Series Connected Devices” was selected for the IEEE PELS TC6 Emerging Technology Best Paper Award.
Dr. Robert J. Mattauch, NC State ECE Alumni Hall of Fame inductee in 2017, has been selected to receive the 2018 Microwave Pioneer Award of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society.
Dr. Veena Misra, Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NC State University and the Director of the NSF ASSIST Nanosystems Center has been selected by the IEEE Sensors Council as a Distinguished Lecturer for 2018-2020.
Two NC State ECE professors were honored with elevation to IEEE Fellow in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the field of electrical and computer engineering.
This past week, IEEE has awarded Dr. Alper Bozkurt with the 2016 IEEE Sensors Council Young Professional Award for his outstanding research, teaching, and outreach performance. Annually, the IEEE Sensors Council Young Professional Award is granted to individuals who promote, recognize, and support contributions from young, inspired professional members who share interests with the IEEE Sensors council. The council awards the Young Professional Award to aid recent graduates in their transition to the professional life.
